Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
When I had a baby with me, and other babies within the cradle was working 12 hour shifts cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to form, but there was still a long way to go. In order to furnish the house, it was going to be an enormous undertaking both in budget and time. I would also have to go out and shop for my most-loved items. In order to stay in my budget I took my sons along with me as I searched for gems hidden in estate sales. Our routine for the week was to walk from Thursday through Saturday through garage and estate sales buying a mixture of antique and brand new furniture and then I would spend weekends painting and sanding the driveway. It was a bit like it... This is where my passion for the restoration of furniture first began. Even though the house had been decorated, I was unable to stop. At the local market I was able to rent a tiny space, and also sold pieces. I was able to outgrow my space because I owned many more pieces than I was able to use. I hosted open houses at my residence where 1 000 people could visit during a weekend. visitors could buy anything from the first level. Growing Days was founded in my own home. The business wasn't just expanding, but so was our sweet family as well. It was a balance between starting a business and becoming a mother. Growing Days seemed like the best combination. Nora came into our lives in 2013 to be our fourth baby. My business was booming but I was in need of a break. I took some time away from furniture that was vintage to enjoy the time I needed with my kids. At the time, it was what I wanted. Within a couple of months, my phone started to ring. Many people called me seeking advice on home improvement and decorating. A majority of those calling me were people who had attended one of my furniture open houses. After that, I gradually took on more clients, in my own way. Then I was able to have many customers and was operating as a home improvement business. Most likely, I'd have laughed had someone had told me the venture was going to be the premise of an upcoming tv program that airs on the DIY Network. Actually, I smile a little when I remember it.
